The holiday of giving thanks began with a rough start in Albuquerque. A series of Albuquerque accidents wreaked havoc throughout the area with 20 separate collisions, 3 of which involved police vehicles. The Albuquerque car accidents were caused by excessively icy road conditions on I-25 and I-40. Those Albuquerque drivers fortunate enough to avoid the abundance of accidents were left stranded on the cold interstates.
Albuquerque police and rescue personnel are being praised for their immediate action in what is truly one of Albuquerque’s worst traffic days. Initial accounts suggest that some of the Thanksgiving Albuquerque accident victims were seriously injured requiring immediate transport to medical facilities.
